We are back with Silent Shore Interviews, and this time we have Mike Sanders, the Spanish producer & DJ of the moment.

01/ What is your definition of Trance?

Trance is a very special style which includes a big amount of emotions and feelings such as euphoria, melancholia, energy… Also is a great way that I have to escape from my problems, when something goes wrong: trance or even goes well: trance as well, trance is the solution.

02/ What has been your biggest moment in your career as a producer?

Seeing my tracks played at big festivals like Ultra or A State Of Trance and seeing all the crowd enjoying with them, proud moments. Also when great names in the scene asking you for remixes, collabs or music for their labels are those moments when you see that all you did was worth it.

03/ Producing quality Trance has made you a big DJ lately, with tunes like ‘7 Eleven’, ‘Hydra’ and ‘Ginger’.
How long does it normally take to produce a trance tune?

It depends, sometimes one week, sometimes two but now I’m working more on quality, so I spend more time on each track.  It is not weird to spend over three or four weeks with the same track/remix.

04/ What software do you use to create music?

I’m currently using Ableton for all, production, podcast… Because I found on it the perfect balance between workflow and features that I need for working well.

05/ How would you define your sound to a newbie of Trance?

Very fresh and personal sound.

06/ Do you listen to other styles of dance music, not just Trance?

Of course so, I really like a lot of genres like Dubstep, House, some Indie but not only Electronic Music.. I also like other genres like Classical, Soundtracks, Rock, R&B, 80s…

07/ What is your favourite release ever? It can be your own music, or any Trance tune out there.

Without any doubt: Evbointh – One Wish (Daniel Kandi & Mark Andrez Remix).

08/ Which DJ’s inspire you?

Aly & Fila, I really love their energic, melodic & emotional style when playing.

09/ Who would you collaborate with, if you had the opportunity?

ReOrder, Allen Watts…

10/ Where can your fans see you perform if you DJ worldwide?

At this moment I have no upcoming gigs, maybe in the coming months I can have better news about that.
